Rock Climbing
Canadian West Mountain School is the largest climbing school in BC with over 28 years in the business of teaching rock climbing. They have courses that cater to all skill levels: whether you are a first time climber or have many seasons under your belt you will have an educational and enjoyable rock climbing experience. All courses are conducted outdoors on the excellent granite of Squamish, B.C. which is considered to be one of the top rock climbing destinations in Canada.To maximize your learning as well as your time spent on the Rock, courses include a classroom session a few days before the field climbing sessions. In the field, you will be part of a small class with individual instruction, paced to your skill level. Harnesses and all technical/safety gear are provided.

Join ACMG certified Rock climbing instructors for a fun introduction to the sport of rock climbing! Your day will be spent in the heart of Squamish, the best climbing area in Canada. No previous experience is required - your Guides will take care of teaching you all the skills needed to get to the tops of the cliffs and enjoy the thrill of climbing.
Our Half-day Rock Intro Tour includes 4 hours of personalized Instruction and Guiding with one of the top Guides in the Squamish region. All equipment and climbing shoes are included in the cost of the climbing tour package. Your exciting and fun filled adventure will begin right away, as you head out into the Smoke Bluffs climbing area, a short 10 minute walk from the Adventure Centre. Once at one of the climbing sites, you will work with your fellow climbers and your Guide to learn and practice all the basic skills required to get out climbing. After this short intro session, you will spend the rest of your session climbing a variety of different climbs suited to your specific ability level. Expect to climb 4-5 climbs in a Half-day Rock Intro Tour.
If you want to get more time out on the rocks, then join our Full Day Rock Intro Tour. The same skills are covered, but you will have more 8 hours in the field to practice, climb and explore many more climbs in the Smoke Bluffs Region.
